The Nansen Legacy consortium is a union of Norwegian polar scientists from ten different research institutions in an endeavor to join expertise and forces.
The project partners include eight public Norwegian research institutions with expertise in Arctic marine sciences. Their governmental tasks and competence are complementary, including education and/or management. Their combined expertise, infrastructure, and size provides a unique consortium that strengthens national collaboration and provides potential for ground-breaking research in Arctic marine science. The consortium is further strengthened by inclusion of two private research institutes with highly relevant expertise in Arctic marine science.
