Senior scientist

Øystein Godøy is co-leader of the work package ‘Data management and synthesis’. Godøy is a satellite remote sensing scientist working actively with distributed data management. His main area of interest is optical sensors and extraction of information on clouds and surface characteristics like snow and sea ice and surface radiative fluxes. He is actively involved in international data management activities like the Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System, WMO Global Cryosphere Watch, and WMO Integrated Global Observing System.
