Adam is a postdoctoral researcher at the Norwegian Polar Institute. His work aims to help understand sea ice structure and physical processes by mixing in situ observations and multiple scales / methods of remote sensing both above and below the ice. Adam is working on methods for observing the state of sea ice and its snow cover, using these to validate and refine larger scale observations by satellite, and then linking the state of sea ice to larger physical and ecological systems in the Barents Sea.
